Champions League Twenty20 is an initiative of three founding member boards; the BCCI, Cricket Australia and Cricket South Africa. The inaugural edition will run in Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai, and promises to provide seven glorious days of Twenty20 cricket. The eight competing teams are made up of the champion and runner-up from Twenty20 competitions played in the founding board countries, plus the champions of England and Pakistan. In 2009, Champions League Twenty20 will increase to twelve teams
